Rasslin'

In honor of today's wrestling-themed comic, I decided to list my favorite wrestling finishers of all time.
1- The Canadian Destroyer (Petey Williams)- I had to watch it in slow motion a ton of times. It's amazing to behold. I guess 'Canadian Destroyer' was easier to remember than 'Forward Somersault Jumping Piledriver'
2- The Stone Cold Stunner (Stone Cold Steve Austin)- Probably because it's so quick and you never know WHO is going to get hit with it. Austin even hit the stunner on Santa Claus.
3- The Razor's Edge (Razor Ramon)- The actual guy was a tool but the Razor's Edge (renamed the Outsider's Edge in WCW) looked like a crucifixion. Sweet looking move.
4- The Van Terminator (Rob Van Dam)- A sitting missle drop kick from the top rope all the way to the other ringpost. Pretty sweet.
5- The Acid Drop/The Dudley Dog (Spike Dudley)- The Acid Drop in ECW became The Dudley Dog in WWE. Just fun to watch little Spike execute this move on big guys.

Wrasslin'. Again.

So lately (after reading Chris Jericho's new book) I've become enamored with wrestling all over again. So in honor of that, here are my top favorite tag teams of all time.
1) Doom (Ron Simmons and Butch Reed)- Just two badass black dudes. I remember when we were kids my brother really liked them too but I don't know if he would remember that now.
2) Edge and Christian- Not only two of the funniest heel characters ever but they (along with the Hardy Boys and the Dudley Boys) revolutionized the ladder match when it was reborn as the Tables, Ladders and Chairs match.
3) The Road Warriors (Animal and Hawk)- The face paint. The shoulder pads. The Doomsday Device. "Ohhhh, what a rush!". The total package.
4) The Bushwhackers (Butch and Luke)- A really silly gimmick that made me laugh every time.
5) The Rockers (Shawn Michaels and Marty Jannetty)- The two high flying guys who made every match they were in exciting to watch.
Worth Mentioning: The Hart Foundation, The British Bulldogs, The Hardy Boys, The Dudley Boys, Cactus Jack and Mikey Whipwreck, Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard, The Rock N' Sock Connection, The Holly Cousins, The New Age Outlaws, Goldust and Booker T, Harlem Heat, Raven and Saturn, Demolition, The Natural Disasters, The Headshrinkers, Tony Atlas and Rocky Johnson, Danny Doring and Roadkill, Kaientai, Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff, Money Inc., Owen Hart and Jeff Jarrett, The Quebeccers, The Godwinns.

The Sheen Effect

So after complaining that I was hearing way too much about Charlie Sheen lately, I watched a Charlie Sheen movie yesterday. Platoon. Because I had heard it was good and I hadn't seen it. And it occurred to me while watching it that Charlie Sheen is actually a great actor, which just makes his descent into madness all the sadder. It got me thinking… so here are six movies that I really enjoyed Charlie Sheen in:
1) Platoon
2) Hot Shots
3) Young Guns
4) Wall Street
5) Major League
6) Red Dawn
Plus he was in The Outsiders. Neat.

Game Sequels I Would Love To See

– Advance Wars 3DS- Playing Advance wars on the GBA and DS made me love this series. Throw in some 3D maps and I'd buy this game in a heartbeat.
– Grand Theft Auto 5: London- They did London with one of the old top-down view games but now in the 3D generation I'd like to see a 60's style crime-filled London GTA
– Actraiser 3- It was a good concept. A platformer/RPG hybrid. The problem was, it was too short. Give it a full upgrade and this game could be epic.
– Star Wars: Rebellion II- A real-time strategy game. If given the full 2011 treatment, it could waste hours of my life.
– Ultima: Quest of the Avatar II- The game based your starting character/class on a series of moral dilemmas. Again, an idea that could be great with next gen graphics. Take Fable's choice based fantasy idea and apply it to a party of ten or more characters.

Out of Ideas

Right. No ideas save one and it's a REALLY dorky one: My Star Trek Dream Crew!
Captain- Jean-Luc Picard (The Next Generation)
First Officer- T'Pol (Enterprise. Yes, I'll often pick hot chicks just because)
Chief Engineer- Montgomery 'Scotty' Scott (The Original Series)
Chief Medical Officer- Leonard 'Bones' McCoy (TOS)
Nurse- Alyssa Ogawa (TNG)
Chief of Security- Tuvok (Voyager. Because black Vulcans are badass)
Science Officer- Spock (TOS)
Random Civilians on board (every show has them)- Nog, Quark and Rom (Deep Space Nine), Kes (Voyager)
Counselor- Deanna Troi (TNG)
Navigator- Hikaru Sulu (TOS)
Communications Officer- It's a toss up between Uhura and Hoshi Sato but I'll go with Hoshi (Enterprise)
Operations Officer- Worf (TNG and DS9)
